Check For Adulteration In Tea Leaves, FSSI Advised

Food Adulteration: If you do not get a cup of tea in the morning, then the whole day starts feeling boring.

Even when you are tired from working out, a cup of tea refreshes you instantly. Here it is meant to say that if you have a bad mood, a headache, you are not feeling well, then you get the solution of all these problems in a cup of tea. You are fond of drinking tea but have you ever tried to know whether the tea you are consuming is pure or not!

ALSO VIEW: Why Junk Food Is Bad For You?

Is there any adulteration in it? If you haven't tried to think of tea this way until today, beware! Be careful because adulterated and fake tea is being found in full swing in the market. It is obvious that this adulterated tea is dangerous for our health.

To help you out, FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) has shared a video on social media. Through this video, FSSAI has revealed how to identify adulteration in tea leaves.

How to check adulteration in tea leaves

The adulteration of tea leaves can be checked in this way –

You will need to take a filter paper to find out whether the tea leaves are pure or adulterated.

After pouring some tea leaves on the filter paper, pour water on this paper to moisten it.

After a few minutes remove the tea leaves from the filter paper and wash the paper with plain water.

Now you have to check carefully whether there are any traces of tea leaves on the filter paper.

If the tea leaves are adulterated, the paper will turn brown.

If there is no adulteration in the tea leaves, then the paper will remain in its original color.

Adulterated tea is not good for health

Adulterated tea is not good for health at all. You do not know what has been adulterated with that tea leaf.

Sometimes brown color is added to the tea leaf to give it a beautiful and original color, and sometimes things that bring brown color are also added. In such a situation, the use of this colored tea can spoil your liver.

Benefits of tea

There has always been a lot of research going on about tea. But experts believe that if you consume tea in limited quantities, it can be good for your health.

Studies show that tea contains flavonoids and antioxidants, which are able to reduce the risk of heart disease. Not only this, the consumption of tea also lowers cholesterol and improves the functioning of blood vessels.

After about six hours, take out its water. After draining all the water, now take a clean and white cotton cloth and wet it. Put the soaked sprouts in this cloth and keep it. Keep the grains in this for about 6 to 8 hours. Sprinkle water on the cloth occasionally so that it becomes easier for the grains to germinate.

After 12 to 14 hours, open the grain and check it. If small white sprouts have come out in the grain, then it is okay, otherwise, sprinkle a little water and keep it for a few more hours. When white sprouts emerge, this process continues and germination increases rapidly.

Sprouted grains are easily and cleanly prepared at home. In the summer season, grains and seeds sprout quickly, but in winter, the process of germination takes a little longer. The shell life of sprouted grains is only two to three days when kept in the refrigerator. So make it in limited quantity only. How Does Your Home-Grown Produce Tackle Food Waste?

Food wastage is a big problem.
How Does Your Home-Grown Produce Tackle Food Waste?
How Does Your Home-Grown Produce Tackle Food Waste?

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations estimates that we waste 1.3 billion tons of food worldwide annually, which is a third of the total production. With billions of people worldwide suffering from hunger and food insecurity, it is a sin that we as a society waste so much good food.

In addition, food waste is extremely harmful to our environment. If it were a food waste country, it would be the third-largest emitter of carbon dioxide after China and the United States.

ALSO VIEW: Why Junk Food Is Bad For You?

Everyone can contribute to reducing food waste. Indie Helping offers six simple tips we can all use to reduce waste. But as producers, we are in a position where we have more control over how our food moves from seed to plate. By choosing to increase our productivity, we are already contributing to the fight against food waste.

By the way, by growing fruits and vegetables at home, we are significantly reducing the environmental impact of our food. As mentioned above, the most harmful aspect of food waste is the carbon footprint. The exit from this process includes the production phase, packaging, and distribution of the food we see in supermarkets (and that spoils before it reaches the shelf). Commercial food production also wastes large amounts of water.

By growing produce at home, you can ensure that everything you grow is used. More than 30% of North American fruits do not appear on supermarket shelves because they do not meet certain beauty standards, even though they are completely edible. Good kitchen gardeners know that 'ugly' fruit tastes just as good!

While some vegetables can be recovered from the debris, many homeowners will use the remains of their crop to grow the next batch, further reducing the residue. Governments and administrators around the world are taking steps to reduce the amount of food used in landfills, but there are still many homes that do not recycle food waste.

By what other method would we have the option to manage deal with this issue?

If you're producing more than you need, send it to friends and family in addition. Not many people will refuse delicious and fresh native fruits and vegetables. And you never know; You can inspire them to become kitchen gardeners. Alternatively, you can contact a local food bank or charitable organization dealing with issues such as poverty and food insecurity to see if they can use your extra money.

Continuously watch out for the amount you eat. If your product is more, you can eat regularly or give less, increase less. Or try adding something different instead, so you have more recipes to try. If you have a lot of specialty fruits or vegetables that grow to the end of their lives, use them to make a big batch of something that is easy to freeze, such as soups or smoothies.

So, if you need another reason to grow your own fruits, your home-grown fruits and vegetables are not only delicious, they're also great for fresh free web content and for the environment; You are contributing to the serious problem of food waste.

Why Junk Food Is Bad For You?

For millions of adults and children, junk food and increased inactivity have led to obesity.
Why Junk Food Is Bad For You?
Why Junk Food Is Bad For You?

For some people junk food has become a way of life, they are addicted to it and if everyone in your family, for example, eats junk food then it is very hard to eat healthily. But it is not impossible at all. So why junk food is bad for you?

There is so much talk about junk food. People know that it is unhealthy and makes people fat but what is the exact definition of junk food.
Well, Junk food is an informal term applied to some foods with little or no nutritional value, or to products with nutritional value but which also have ingredients considered unhealthy when regularly eaten, or to those considered unhealthy to consume at all. The term was coined by Michael Jacobson, director of the Center for Science in the Public Interest, in 1972.

Factors contributing to labeling as junk food are high levels of refined sugar, white flour, trans fat, and saturated fat, salt, and additives such as preservatives and coloring agents. Others include a lack of proteins, vitamins, fiber, and other nutrients for a healthy diet. Junk food is associated with health problems including obesity, heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, and dental cavities. Problems with fast food may not be apparent to children, hence advertising aimed at children has come under criticism.

Whole foods are the best nourishment for you. Make sure before you buy any foods, that you check the labels and ingredients. Even though the food label may say that it is low fat or reduced sugar, it still may not be healthier for you as some food companies add unhealthy ingredients to these foods to compensate for the low fat or sugar reduction in them.

When you buy bread, make sure that the label says whole wheat flour and not just wheat flour as it is not whole grain. Also, when you do eat out at a restaurant, you should ask what the fat and calorie content of the meals are and that way, you will not be consuming extra calories and fat needlessly.
Good eating habits also emphasize proper mealtimes instead of haphazard eating patterns. Snacking between meals on junk food like potato chips is one habit that can have a bad effect on teeth health. Many people including teens are addicted to consuming junk snacks and guzzling sugared soft drinks that are basically empty calories.

This has disastrous consequences for teeth health. It is estimated that the high sugar content of many junk food washes away protective teeth enamel, thus rendering them vulnerable to corrosive cavities. It is imperative, therefore, to completely shun fast food that corrodes teeth health and ushers in tooth decay.
There is no magic pill that makes you lose weight and makes you look like a supreme athlete. You have to do it the hard way. It is very hard for people to change their lifestyles. But to be healthy and lose weight you have to change your lifestyle. It is the only way.

It is not impossible to change your habits and start living a healthier life. The most important factor about it all is knowledge. If you have the knowledge and you know what you have to do to be successful in science Articles, then you have done most of the work already.

It is never too late to change your lifestyle. If you have the desire and motivation then nothing will stop you. People just have to stop finding silly excuses. You know junk food is bad for you and if you dont exercise you will have serious problems. Today could be the first day of the rest of your life. Make changes today not tomorrow. You will be surprised what you can actually accomplish.

If food is eaten too rapidly, it will not distribute properly and when swallowed in thick lumps, the enzymatic fluid cannot act on it as easily. Inadequate chewing will reduce the amount of saliva and as a result, starch will not be digested properly and the stomach will not secrete the required amount of gastric juice.

It is not advisable to eat only soft or liquid food as we can swallow it without chewing it properly. A large portion of solid food, which should be chewed thoroughly, should be eaten at every meal.

Eating out is harmful, as it not only promotes fast food but also dilutes the gastric juice, reducing its activity. Food should be chewed until it is wet enough to be swallowed. When a large amount of fluid enters the stomach, digestion does not begin until a large portion of the fluid has been absorbed. Drinking cold foods or soft drinks such as ice cream, ice water, ice milk or tea with food cools the stomach and slows down digestion.

Brazilian Indians take care not to drink alcohol while eating and this practice is common among many other wild tribes.
